Alleged Drunk Driver In Lockport Had Two Kids In Car

LOCKPORT, N.Y. – 24-year-old Jack Staples, of Lockport, was driving drunk with two children in his vehicle when he was arrested last weekend in Lockport.

According to police reports, Staples was stopped for speeding on South Transit Road. During the stop, police detected the smell of alcohol coming from his breath.

He was issued field sobriety tests which he failed. Police reports confirm that he had an open container of alcohol in the car at the time of the arrest. His BAC level was checked which came out to be 0.15, well above the legal limit.

Staples faces multiple charges, including DWI, felony aggravated DWI with a child, speeding and consumption of an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle.
