Unfortunately, many serious violent crimes are committed by people who know their victim well. A man in New Jersey was recently taken into custody by authorities for allegedly killing his girlfriend by beating her to death.
Incident details and arrest
On March 12, family and friends of a 50-year-old woman from Bellville were unable to get a response from her by phone. A relative went to the woman’s home on Hero Way to find the woman unresponsive. Authorities were alerted, and the woman was pronounced dead around 10:16 that night.
According to the autopsy, the woman died from blunt force trauma. Her boyfriend, a 52-year-old man from the Bronx, was identified as the suspect. He was taken into custody on a charge of murder. The case is still under investigation.

Although the man is accused of killing his girlfriend, he remains innocent in the eyes of the law unless and until convicted in court and beyond a reasonable doubt. The report did not mention why authorities suspected the man of being the perpetrator of this crime, but he is obviously facing harsh consequences if convicted.
