Pantless Man Arrested For DUI In New Jersey

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – 22-year-old Kevin Dougherty, a resident of Independence Township, was arrested for DUI in Warren County, N.J., after he was stopped by the police for a traffic violation.

Dougherty was stopped at about 3:20 a.m. Saturday by the Hackettstown police in a traffic stop which was being conducted. As the officer was talking with the driver in the car, he smelled alcohol. The officer also noticed that the driver was not wearing pants or shoes. He also had a bag of red wine on the floor by his feet.

Details of the incident were released in a news release stating that the officer found “shopping bags full” of empty Twisted Tea cans and boxes of wine inside the car.

Dougherty faces multiple charges including driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and consumption of alcohol in a vehicle. He was released from custody pending court appearance.
